Daily Motivations
Part of the Anaya Care Handbook — the source of truth for how the product must behave. When the product needs to change, change this document first, then make the system match it.
What this covers
This page governs (the PRD calls this the Daily Motivational Quote): the short motivational quote — one per agency per calendar day — shown to care providers on their mobile home screen each morning. Admins write quotes by hand or generate themed batches with the AI assistant.
Key terms
- Daily motivation — a short motivational quote, one per agency per calendar day, shown to care providers on their home screen (the PRD name is Daily Motivational Quote).
- Quote batch — a themed set of AI-generated quotes that fills future days on the agency's quote calendar.
- Attribution — the author, source, or "Anaya Care" credit shown alongside a quote where applicable.
- Anaya-curated library — a shared baseline of quotes maintained by Anaya in two categories (elder-care-specific and general motivational), reviewed for cultural sensitivity and rotated to avoid repetition.
How it works
Each agency keeps a calendar of motivational quotes — exactly one per day. Admins write quotes by hand or generate a themed batch with the AI assistant; generated quotes fill future days only, starting after the latest existing quote. Every morning, care providers see that day's quote inline on their home screen — not as an interrupting modal or popup — with attribution (author, source, or "Anaya Care") shown where applicable.
Rules
- MOT-1 — Each agency has at most one motivational quote per calendar day.
- MOT-2 — Generated quotes fill future days only — never today, never the past — starting from tomorrow or from the day after the latest existing quote, whichever is later.
- MOT-3 — Motivational quotes are visible only to logged-in users of their own agency, and never cross agency boundaries.
Note: This page's rules were retired from the old Daily Living page: DAILY-25 – DAILY-26 → – ; DAILY-27 → . IDs are never reused.

Decisions needed
- Which midnight does the daily quote follow? Options: the agency's local timezone (care providers always see the right quote for their day), or a single universal clock (simpler, but agencies far west of it see tomorrow's quote in the evening).
- Should Anaya curate a shared quote library that agency quotes rotate alongside? The PRD asks for two Anaya-curated categories — elder-care-specific and general motivational — with subscribing agencies adding their own quotes via the Knowledge Base, all rotating together. Today each agency keeps a standalone calendar () with no Anaya-supplied baseline; decide whether to introduce the shared library or keep the per-agency calendar as the source of truth.
- Should a new quote be guaranteed to differ from the previous day's? The PRD requires a new quote each day with no repetition on consecutive days; / set one quote per day but say nothing about avoiding back-to-back repeats. Decide whether the rule applies only to Anaya-curated rotation, only to per-agency calendars, or both.
- Where is a quote attributed and to whom? The PRD shows attribution (author, source, or "Anaya Care") where applicable. Decide whether attribution is a required field on every quote or optional, and how hand-written agency quotes without a source are credited.
